Cham Bank Sponsors Graduate Ceremony of Sharia College in Damascus University

Under the auspices of Cham Bank, the first Islamic bank in Syria, Sharia Faculty in Damascus University honor the graduates of class 2015-2016 in a ceremony entitled “the scholar Dr. Wahbah Al-Zuhayli” (may his sole rest in pease).

 The award ceremony took place on Monday, 13.03.2017, at Damascus University building, with the presence of Dr. Mohammad Hassan Kurdi the President of Damascus University, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and the head of the Levant Scholars Dr. Mohamed Tewfik Ramadan Al-Bouti, Deputy Minister of Awqaf and head of Levant University Dr. Tayseer Abu Khashrif, Deputy CEO for Support Services in Cham Bank, Mr. Abdelrazzaq Al-Qatrawi , a representative of the Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Mr. Ahmad Al-Laham, a delegation of some departments and sections of Cham Bank, the deanship of some colleges and teaching staff at the University of Damascus.

And on behalf of Cham Bank Mr. Abdelrazzaq Al-Qatrawi expressed His pride with Cham Bank continuous support and contribution in enabling and encouraging students at various educational and academic levels to continue to success, and so out of the social responsibility of the bank and in various sectors. Mr. Al-Qatrawi in his speech also stressed the role of doctor "Al-Zuhayli", and his unforgettable mark in Islamic sciences investigations, as well as in the establishment and Presidency of Sharia Supervisory Board in Cham Bank for many years.

 In his turn, Dr. Al-Bouti, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia praised the role of the bank in supporting students and educational institutions in general also the supporting the Faculty of Sharia in particular.

He, Dr. Al-Bouti passed an honoring shield to Cham Bank, in recognition of his ongoing material and moral support.
