From the sense of responsibility towards the less fortunate groups, it was necessary that  the social responsibility of Cham Bank’s strategy to include charitable initiatives aimed in the contribution to enable these groups to promote the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity in the community, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.

Cham Bank contributed in sponsoring a number of orphans enrolled in Auda Association, this cooperation comes with charities registered in the Ministry of Social Affairs to confirm the role of the Bank and his commitment to the completion of its program of social responsibility in directing support to beneficiaries and focusing on sectors that develops the whole society including charities.

The importance of these initiatives comes to reflect  the real concerted effort and cooperation between Cham Bank and all the institutions to be a positive example of what the bank is doing in the area of social responsibility which contributes to building a better future for  next generations.

 It is noteworthy that the Association was established in Damascus in 1959 as a charity and development association by a decree issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, which  aims to help the poor and needy families and families of orphans and orphan children..

It is worth mentioning that Cham Bank is the first Islamic bank in Syria, was established and started work in 2007 on the Syrian market through the provision of banking services, and the practice of financing and investment business, with an authorized capital of 5 billion Syrian pounds.

The capital of Cham Bank  has been increased 10,000,000,000 Syrian Pounds and registered at the Commercial Register under No.14809 dated January the 24th 2007(the 5th of Muharram 1428), and registered at the Syrian Central Bank under No. 15.

Cham Bank is the first Islamic bank in Syria to take the Islamic Sharia approach. The Bank s operations and activities (With Keeping customer’s names anonymous) are subject to the Central bank of Syria and the Islamic committee monitoring.
